Across the bottom are buttons to access different types of data entrypages Glucose, Food, Medications, Exercise and More. There are nopretty home menus which often only get in the way and create additional steps to navigate an app.Diabetes Pilot opens to the log book, which is where you need to be most of thetime. The user interface of this app is well done. I do not use a Mac and dont believe in reviewing anything unless I actually use the product. The PC review is in my Software Review section. This review is on the iPhone version of Diabetes Pilot, Version 5.1.1 Copyrighted 2010 by Digital Altitudes, LLC. The Bayer Contour USB does not need a cable so it is a truly free PC /Mac compatible systems. Furthermore your data cable may only work on one brand/model of meter. Or is it? Side Note: Even though there are free PC software options available from meter manufacturers, you usually have to buy a data transfer cable which does not make them free to use. It may only be that when used onboth an iPhone and PC/Mac platform do the advantages of syncing date becomereason enough to pony up the money. The program can be used on asingle platform but considering the wide availability of free software for bothdesktop and mobile devices and the price tag of Diabetes Pilot for eachplatform, it may be hard to justify the cost. Diabetes Pilot is a multi-platform package which can beused on both your mobile device and desktop. I used Diabetes Pilot on my Palm a long time ago and liked it, so when I saw that an iPhone version was available, I jumped at the chance to use the program again. The Diabetes Pilot name has been around for awhile. Diabetic Nerd - Diabetes Pilot Review - Iphone
